First day of school 2013

Aug 26 2013 was the first day of school!!

* Allie is starting 4th grade

* Avery is starting 1st grade

* Olivia is starting kindergarten 

They picked out their out fits the night before. They are all very excited!!

Olivia turned 5 in May. She is in Mrs. Dalton's class

Avery is 6 and will be turning 7 in December. She is in Mrs.Cox's class. Ms Cox is in our ward and I serve with her in the RS presidency. She is the RS president. 

Allie is 9. She will be turning 10 in November. She in Mrs. Trimming's class. She is getting so big:). 

Livi in her class. She jumped right in and had no fear. She spent all day at school last year, this year is nothing new. 

The girls have spent two days in school now. We are still working out the drop off pick up routine. Poor Avery got lost and couldn't find Allie today. She was in the PE room crying. Luckily the PE teacher found her and brought her to me. It was a good thing we arranged for me to pick the kids up today instead of haveing them walk home on their own. I was there help Avery feel better, and we worked out a good meeting spot for Allie and Avery for the after school walk home. Let's hope thing go Better tomorrow!!?? Avery was still pretty nervous about it when she went to bed tonight. She kept getting up and crying about getting lost saying that she couldn't get the day out of her head:(. I told her I would be waiting for her when she got out of class. She said a prayer that she wouldn't be nervous or scared anymore and then she was able to sleep:)

Now we just need to get Livi on board with the walk home. She refuses to walk home because she says it is to far;). Wish us luck.

 I think this year is going to be great. I'm excited for everyone. Even Addison will be starting school in a week:). 

Summer Utah trip Aug 2013

We took a last-minute-end-of-the-summer-trip with Cody and Ammon. They had to work a golf tournament in Salt Lake so we decided to bring the families. We rented a house in Sandy and and kept the kids busy at the zoo, the gate way mall, the park, and lots of other fun things!!

This was the last day. We took the kids to a jumpy-bouncy place!! They had a blast, running, bouncing, sliding... For like two hours. Then we drove home. 

We didn't see the dads much. But the kids had a blast and we got to have one last hurrah before school starts.

Only one minor problem. We sort of flooded the basement. Addison left the hose on and it filled up the window well. By the time we realized it water was flowing into the basement. We found it pretty fast so it dried before we left;)    

July 29 2013... Olivia gets an allergy test

This is how an allergy test looks when is starts. They number your back and poke it with contaminates. The Left side is environmental. The right side is food. Then we wait to see if any of the pokes have a reaction.

Getting worse!! She kept saying my back is itchy!!!

Getting squirmer and itchier:(. Much much itchier!! 

You can see that she has a lot of out door allergies. She is on two allergy med's that will help her cope with those. And she will have to stay away from dogs, horses, cats, and birds. 

The food side was not that bad. She is however severely allergic to cashews and peanuts. She will have to carry an Epi pen with her for the rest of her life. The cashew hive is the larges one on the top right of her back. The peanut is just below that.    

Poor thing was itchy for a week and a half after the test, but we are happy to have a clearer picture of her allergies!!

Aug 12 2013...AvErY GeTs StiTchEs

Avery got her first every stitches a few weeks ago!! She ran to give her cousin Laine a hug and his tooth hit the top of her head and cut it open. They hit so hard that poor Laine broke his tooth. 

Avery was really scared to get the stitches, but when all was said and done she got thew it!!

The next day. Avery is feeling much better with just two little stitches and antibiotics to keep infection away. 

The cut ended up getting infected and causing a lot of swelling. Avery's eye almost swelled shut, but luckily I had a topical ointment that took care of the problem. She is back to new now. You can hardly tell she every got cut:). 

School Hair Cuts Aug 2013

Allie wanted bangs this year!! Very cute!! So naturally all her sisters copied her!! She will be 10 in a few months. She is starting 4th grade!! Very old;)

Avery getting finished up. She is 6. She will be 7 in a few months. She is starting 1st grade this year:)

Olivia just getting started!! She did not get bangs. We decided that her curly hair might not handle the bangs very well. She is 5. And starting  kindergarten!!

Addison is getting washed. This was her first ever salon hair cut. She will be 4 in about 2 weeks. She will go to preschool a few days a week:).
